Pros
-great staff in house -very supportive from management when training -decent pay and benefits
Cons
-training for management position FOH, you have to spend time at EVERY section in the restaurant front and back of house. There’s not enough time spent on actually learning management stuff which was mental to me. I legit prepped food for two weeks. It was like paying dues or something. And no one in the BOH was happy for the help. I mostly felt like I was in the way -FOH you host for three days. What are we doing here. -the training system was too long and wasted a LOT of time -but then you have to do all these auxiliary trainings at the office. You have to do on your own time. I will say they were super informative but why wouldn’t you have those in the training time. It made it so hard to get a promotion because you had to do those before hand -outdated software, the paperwork was not streamlined -also was scheduled 8 days in a row right out of training so no work life balance, which was counter to what I was made to believe in orientation
