Pros
Good hours, lots of opportunity to learn new things and new techniques. There are also a lot of lectures on the frontiers of science you can attend for free. Very good job if you're taking a few years off before medical school or graduate school - most of the technicians/research assistants stay for 2 years before going on to study more. It's easy to study for exams because you usually have regular hours and the work is not as stressful, just running experiments. This job will expose you to the many good experiences and bad parts of science.
Cons
Wish they would offer employee compensation for lunch but otherwise no complaints.
