      Our interns mean so much to us because we all get to see the transformation of theory into practice that breathes new life into the platform. San Mateo may not be San Francisco, but we do love it here - and offer public transit assistance to make the commute more affordable and manageable.

      Pros

      Total compensation is top of the market. Good benefits, matching 401k, free DEXA scans, nice HQ.

      Cons

      Chaotic management. Violatile stock price, one year you can make a lot of money with your RSUs, the next year its all worthless. Progression is hard, on paper they have a standardized rubric for leveling engineers but when it comes to calibration that's when the gaslighting and the caveat starts.
