Pros
Despite several of the reviews posted here on Glassdoor, I had an extremely positive experience while employed at Rizzetta & Company within the District Services Department. The Vice President, my Director, Operations Managers, Administrative Assistants, Accounting Staff, as well as my fellow District Managers all bent over backwards to ensure I was set up for success within my role. I had several months of training, as well as great shadowing opportunities with managers that each had strong backgrounds and a wealth of experience. The employees at Rizzetta truly care about others as individuals, and I greatly appreciated the teamwork-oriented environment from my fellow DMs. If you're motivated, humble, respectful, and have a willingness to learn- you could excel here.
Cons
The biggest challenge working for any organization that serves residential communities is mitigating Board Member and resident concerns/issues. Unfortunately we live in a society where everyone expects things to be done immediately, and many individuals take out their personal life frustrations on both CDD and HOA Managers. With so much negativity coming from Board Members and residents, you have to have a really tough shell and not take things personally. Some residents also cross the line and attempt to engage in bullying/aggressive intimidation tactics, which creates an uneasy environment. When this happens, however, Rizzetta had a no-tolerance policy for clients/residents that attempt to act unprofessionally towards any staff member on any level, and addresses each situation accordingly for the benefit of the employee.
