Pros

Modern workspace with great views. The team is collaborative and supportive, and the projects are engaging and thoughtfully executed.

Cons

While the work itself is of high quality and often rewarding, the tense office atmosphere and unapproachable management can make the day-to-day experience challenging.

Pros

There are absolutely no pros to working here whatsover.

Cons

Directors: Dreadful condescending directors - one of which in particular (the elderly lady) is a really rude person with very poor social skills who constantly berates staff, hangs up in meetings, threatens to fire people, throws tantrums on a daily basis, constantly complaining about IT issues So very little joy in their lives. She comes with the other director (they're married but they fail to mention that in the interview - really weird to find out) Very little support on projects. Zero upskilling opportunities. Zero advice for how to improve in areas. Zero advice on taking things from other projects. Not sure how two of the non couple directors are in the position they are. I suspect by nodding and saying yes to the empress helps. This company does not use Revit - only about 4 people know how to use it and the Bim manager is a beginner at best. The directors feel threatened by Revit because they haven't a clue how to use it. So it's Autocad for everyone practically. Very cold atmosphere on a daily basis. The location is dreadful - next to a busy highway. No place for lunch. The projects get value engineered to hell and are largely uninspiring. Very poor work culture. Extra hours are expected but never appreciated. Huge turnover in staff largely because how they are treated - it's just not worth the hassle to stay and endure vile toxic people. In a year I saw 15 people leave. All complained to me it was due to the stress from the empress. Far too many Part 2's and 1's who don't really do much on a project - too terrified of the director's wrath- and leave exactly at 6pm. I had never seen that from a Part 2 before. Oh and how can we forget - There is a cctv camera that sits on the wall and watches the staff. How is that for trust. Paranoid or what? Look at the other reviews - the negative ones are bang on. The positive ones are by two people who worked in the housing sector which is so small and never had to deal with the directors.

Pros

compared to other jobs, nothing of note

Cons

typical husband wife studio, i assume they go home and natter about their business and their employees, and bring this dynamic to the studio with them. When i left business the they told me I could leave early and they would pay the rest of my months pay. which is nice, but then got angry when i said i would be looking for a new job right away. Which made me laugh.
