      Poor salary and staleness in the company with a lot of discontent among workers which can sap energy out of the place

      Pros

      River Media was going through a tough time while I worked there, but a strong team in production, sales, finance and editorial kept most of the titles afloat.

      Cons

      Quite stressful and disorganised, with poorly defined structures (eg every reported to the MD). Lacked a full time HR function, and proper oversight on hiring and scheduling.
