Pros

Get your retail experience here, and get out. A decent place for young retail managers to learn the business. However, once you have real experience, and ideas, you are not an asset, but a threat to middle management.

Cons

It seems the entire middle and store operational management structure at this firm only react to what the latest hot button trends are. Major layout changes are implemented without consideration to the facility's ability to physically operate after the changes. I am not talking about the manager or staff of the stores, I mean the building's actually physical ability to store, merchandise and present the merchandise in a coordinated manner that would maximize sales. I have even been told, that maximizing sales is less important than the overall look of the store. I have also been told to remove neat, tidy displays that would turn dozens of units of merchandise during a sale period, and to rely on the "home" location to sell that merchandise. So, instead of selling 100 units, I sold 8. My sales graph looks like a heartbeat monitor. Up when I'm left to my own ideas, and down when I'm visited, and told to undo everything in favor of "the look".
