Pros

Busy startup company with lots of room to create your own path. It is a small team so everyone has a lot of duties but management was open to adjusting roles and responsibilities if needed. It is was fun to know everyone on the team. Also for a company without major funding it was cool to still have perks like free lunch on the daily, health insurance covered and a free euqinox membership. Ripe was a great place for me to learn and build stepping stones to my current job.

Cons

Startup life is real and not for everyone. Without funding you have to be creative and at times you don't get the things you want at the exact time you want it.

Pros

Not able to provide any.

Cons

This truly is a company ran by cynical people with zero morals and no clue how to legally run a business. Investing your time into Ripe will only take a stressful toll on you and can undoubtedly steer you away from your personal goals and ambition. They have not had a consistent full team last longer than 1 year since the time they’ve opened and it’s no coincidence. Threatening employees with law enforcement at any given moment, disorganized work structure, staff getting paid under the books, and a terrible hierarchical system are only minor disadvantages of this company. Ben Huffman, Ripe’s CEO, is the epitome of don’t throw stones if you live in a glass home, taking many of his past employees to court for personal gain, ego, spite, and privilege while he initiates even more heinous acts. Working with the individuals at this company will be a constant battle if you are simply an ethical being, as sweeping their problems under the rug and making others pay for their mistakes are the base of their foundation. They care more about keeping a good image rather than being actual good people, and have even gone as far as writing their own positive reviews on Glassdoor to make themselves look better than they really are. Be very mindful before getting involved with this company, it can easily become the worse decision you’ve made all year.
