Pros

Super flexible, interesting conversations, good pay for beginner tutors, excellent teaching resources, friendly HR department.

Cons

The payscale has not been increased over the last few years, despite inflation going up considerably. There's also no further promotions once you reach level 4, meaning there's not much incentive for the top tutors to stay on the platform as experienced private tutors can get paid a lot more elsewhere. I'm at the top tier and always receive 5* reviews, but there's not further career development/promotional opportunities available to me.

Pros

Lots of flexibility and great tutoring interface. Can truly choose your own hours and high demand so likely to get booked.

Cons

Not much, there is a very low tolerance for tutors being late etc. but makes sense

Pros

Most of the students are lovely. The hours are generally flexible, and there is little preparation required.

Cons

The worst thing about this company is how they treat their tutors. They keep looking for sneaky ways to lower the tutor pay, and the way that they want the classes structured is arbitrary. They provide strict feedback that is nearly possible to implement, and they have a countless number of minuscule rules to follow that are impossible to keep up with. In other words, the tutor is never right.
