Flexible, but unfair to those applying for tutoring positions - Tutor Ringle Employee Review

Pros

- Flexible, work from your laptop anywhere, anytime - Mock session interviewers and other members of Ringle management are kind and supportive

Cons

- Ringle requires tutors to teach in a platform that is fairly new to the tutor, but does not provide much assistance to prepare for mock sessions - Ringle does not acknowledge the experience that tutors have - Tutors should be compensated more for their work - As far as I have noticed, tutors are only chosen if they are from well-known schools or have "highly-ranked" degrees (I don't find that many tutors chosen are diverse in regards to their experiences and outlooks)

Pros

Lots of flexibility and great tutoring interface. Can truly choose your own hours and high demand so likely to get booked.

Cons

Not much, there is a very low tolerance for tutors being late etc. but makes sense

Pros

Most of the students are lovely. The hours are generally flexible, and there is little preparation required.

Cons

The worst thing about this company is how they treat their tutors. They keep looking for sneaky ways to lower the tutor pay, and the way that they want the classes structured is arbitrary. They provide strict feedback that is nearly possible to implement, and they have a countless number of minuscule rules to follow that are impossible to keep up with. In other words, the tutor is never right.
