Pros

Co-workers (minus management) are great to work with. Consistent hours. Long Weekends are provided as well as other benefits throughout.

Cons

The pay is average. Many times there are pep talks given to promote sales. Fear driven culture that if not producing will be fired. Leadership sells it as 'ministry' to be foundation of hard work yet ignores realities of pastors being real people. Driven to dislike people in the church because they do not like a certain product is insane. The lack of respect towards understanding churches get called a million times a day is disheartening for a 'ministry'. In interview they exaggerate what people actually make. They take the highest numbers for the best of days and claim that as the norm.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you did not have a good experience working here and while this review was posted a few years back, we want to make sure we address your concerns. RightNow Ministries is in no way under the impression that our employees are machines. We care deeply for our team and do everything we can to make this an encouraging work environment. Our view of "Work as Worship" is being faithful in the position that God has us in and being a light to those around us in the workplace. Anyone can work as worship no matter what their job title is. Our sales team does this by spreading the word about an incredible resource that impacts lives and impacts the Kingdom. We do not condone "fear driven" coaching here, we want to encourage our team to do well so we can achieve our mission. When someone applies for a job as a coordinator we are very candid about what the job entails and we would not want someone to accept a position without fully understanding the expectations because that would not be beneficial for either party. We are also very candid about the compensation. Just like the majority of sales positions, there are commission and bonus opportunities, I am sorry if this was not properly explained to you before you joined our team. Our entire goal as a ministry is to Glorify the Lord and achieve our mission to trade in the pursuit of the America dream for a world that desperately needs Christ. I am sorry your experience here was negative, we wish you luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

There are many incredible people at RightNow Media. The organization's mission is powerful and does help churches, schools and businesses.

Cons

I would not recommend joining the sales organization. In fact, I am actively exploring opportunities elsewhere because the environment has become difficult to navigate and, in my experience, does not support healthy professional growth. Much of what has been written about Merry aligns with my experience. The favoritism, inconsistency, and lack of objectivity in decision-making are unlike any workplace I have encountered. I say that as someone who was often on the favorable side of those dynamics and benefited from opportunities that were not equally available to everyone. I have watched talented, hardworking, and genuinely mission-driven employees fall out of favor with leadership, sometimes with little clarity as to why and with no realistic path to rebuild trust or recover professionally. Meanwhile, others receive opportunities and support that appear disconnected from objective performance. What makes this especially unfortunate is that the organization itself has tremendous potential. The mission is meaningful, the product makes a positive impact, and there are many outstanding people throughout the company. However, it is disappointing that these leadership issues have been allowed to persist for so long because they continue to undermine what could otherwise be a truly exceptional organization. For anyone considering joining, understand that this is not an environment where open dialogue, constructive feedback, or challenging the status quo are consistently welcomed. The culture is characterized by a high degree of micromanagement and a significant lack of trust. Employees who thrive here tend to align closely with leadership's views and avoid expressing dissenting opinions. My advice would be to go in with your eyes open. If your goal is to help contribute ideas, challenge assumptions, and help shape the direction of the organization, you may find the experience frustrating.
