If you're looking for a large organization that has processes and procedures for everything, look elsewhere. Right Source has plenty of that in place, but the team is open to discovering new ways to do things, and are always in a mode of improvement.

Today is my sixth anniversary at Right Source Marketing (RSM). I was sitting here thinking how fortunate I am to work here so I thought I would share. We have a few open positions and I figure people would want to know why they should consider joining us. My situation is unique in that I was one of the first employees and I was hired to work on client projects as well as our own RSM projects – depending where I was needed. Over the years, the pendulum has swung back and forth. There were times (years) where I spent most of my time working with clients and then other times, like now, where I am helping to build the internal processes within the company. I’ve worked on many different types of projects and I like the variety. The wonderful thing is that those in charge encourage us to be creative, learn new things, and allow us to take ownership of our projects, regardless of what we are working on. That has made my job rewarding and fulfilling. When new employees join the team, we look forward to the new ideas and best practices they bring with them. We’re a growing company and always ready to look at how we approach things to see if there is a way to make it better. I like that. We have a lot of opportunity for personal growth – working on new projects, learning from co-workers, and taking classes. Part of the client work I do is to assist with their websites. With the support of RSM I took a front-end web development class which was something I was very interested in and it allowed me to better do my job and serve our clients. We work hard and have fun. I am someone who expects a lot from myself and I enjoy working with others who have the same work ethic, but I also appreciate that the team likes to have a good laugh – we like to have a good laugh! Last, but certainly not the least, the people here are the best. A few years ago I faced a serious health challenge. I’m not the kind of person to take my responsibilities lightly so of course I took care of my assignments, but it was made very clear to me that my health was a priority. Every single person – from the three owners to the rest of my colleagues helped and supported me through that time. We are all here for one another - to teach, support, educate, pitch in, mentor - which is the most important reason I am happy to be here.

We have two offices (Baltimore and Reston) which enables us to more easily cover a large territory, but it means I spend more time on Slack and the phone with some of my co-workers. I'd like to get to see them more often.
