Pros

No overtime, 8 am to 5 pm job.. Once you get a handle of your responsibilities, you can coast. The pay is decent as one of the other reviewers mentioned. You do get perks around various holidays, which is a very nice gesture by the Company. The business is booming. Located in a convenient location. A walking distance from the Millbrae BART and Caltrain stations.

Cons

The majority of employees have their resumes updated at all times. You never know what is going to set off the Management to let someone go. We have lost many good employees for unknown reasons. You get a three line "Organizational Announcement" email right before 5 pm. The communication flow in the Company is extremely poor. Some of the Executives come and go as they wish and difficult to catch them to move your day to day work forward. After a while, you get discouraged to work hard because these Executives seem to be not vested. The long timers do not like changes. They fight against the changes and are vocal about it. When the timing is right, they can contribute to getting someone to be let go. We just had one hard working person let go because she was for the changes. Many employees are frustrated to see certain employees floating around the office during the day. It is clear that they do not have enough work to do. Unequal distribution of work. No growth opportunity. Not challenging after you know your job.

Pros

the food was good and the safeway gift cards were good

Cons

Working for a family is always hard. One gets pulled into the drama of family. They say they treat everyone like family but that's not the flex they think it is. The CEO's management style was learned from his dad, the former CEO. Imagine the only way your boss knows how to manage or lead is by parenting, parenting like The Great Santini in the worst possible way. Because of the CEO, I will never ever buy anything produced by Subzero/Wolf, which is a shame because they are great products.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We know prospective employees read these reviews to understand our company culture, so we’d like to offer some additional context. As a family-owned and operated business, our interactions can feel more personal—and sometimes more direct—than in large corporate environments. Like many families, there can be moments of disagreement or tension, but our aim is always to improve, listen, and grow together. We also recognize that during times of change or transition, experiences can vary widely. While not everyone will find our approach to management or culture the right fit, many appreciate the strong sense of accountability, work-life balance, and close-knit environment we work hard to maintain. We’re proud to represent premium brands known for exceptional quality, and we expect the same commitment to excellence in how we serve customers and support our team. We encourage anyone interested to speak with us directly to learn more about our values and opportunities.
