Work is planned out so you know where you are going to be in the next few weeks. You get exposed to the latest technologies so always learning and your skillset improves. Regular one to one meetings and pay reviews so salary keeps up with the competition. As long as the work gets done to the required standard you are left to be fairly autonomous. Allowed to work from home if the project allows it.
Cons
Workload can be demanding and being away from home can interfere with family life at times.
