Pros
Ridgeline is not your typical startup. It is so much more.
- It is focused on the long term as opposed to short term gains or making decisions just to secure that next round of funding. People are here for the long haul and truly believe in the vision, and with that comes immense focus on the employees and on the product. The best example of this has been through Covid-19 where Ridgeline has done everything to ensure our safety and ease while working from home - not a single layoff. Instead, hiring has ramped up and communication remains concise, timely, and transparent.
- Ridgeline treats its employees with a great deal of empathy and trust, giving us the autonomy and motivation to produce an excellent product. Everyone is held to a high standard and feels motivated to do well.
- The best part about Ridgeline is the people - bright individuals with a shared passion for what we are doing. They aren't there to collect a paycheck and go home. I come to work because I'm genuinely excited about it and inspired by my teammates. And I've developed some amazing friendships with my coworkers.
- Leadership is very accessible and approachable. There may be titles, but collaboration occurs across levels, with an open door policy. Egos are left at the door and humility is emphasized. Humility at Ridgeline and humility in the industry we operate in and with our customers.
- The work itself is challenging in the best of ways. I have grown tremendously during my time here
- Focus on D and I and ensuring this is a priority from the get go. The D and I ERG has created a welcome space to learn, create change, and take action
Cons
We are growing quickly and with that can come communication lags and more processes - growing and natural pains of growth. Working in CST/EST time zones can also be difficult given PST is HQ.
