Pros

For the most part, you have flexible hours as long as it's not on delivery day

Cons

National Garden Service has the potential to be a great company, but there are significant concerns regarding fair compensation and employee recognition. While the company does offer bonuses, they are only given to managers, team leads, and higher-level employees. The workers who are on the ground every day, handling the physical labor on the porches, receive nothing beyond their hourly wage—no bonuses, no Christmas pay, and no vacation pay. Raises are rare and typically only happen if an employee actively pushes for one, yet even then, they are difficult to secure. Hard work and dedication often go unnoticed, making it clear that recognition is not a priority. Additionally, there is a stark pay disparity, with upper management being compensated well while the employees responsible for executing the day-to-day operations see little to no additional financial benefits. This disconnect between leadership and frontline workers creates frustration and a lack of motivation. For National Garden Service to improve, they need to implement a more equitable pay structure, ensure all employees—especially those doing the physical labor—receive fair compensation and benefits, and establish a culture that values and rewards hard work at every level.
