It was great working here.

Too much work and no support from senior staff.

Small classes/departments, generally good diversity in students reflecting the region, wonderful campus life, student focussed teaching approach, open to new staff, links with numerous external research bodies, a number of excellent professors who are open to mentoring junior staff.

Considered a 'Party' school by students, not enough diversity/transformation in teaching positions, clear socio-economic disparity in the town itself together with racial undercurrents on campus, limited growth opportunities both professionally and personally, poorly-run municipality impacting university services
