Pros

Flexible environment - Given that you know how to brown nose your Line Manager or the Executive Members. You don't need any particular skills to be able to do any work here - Again, given that you know how to brown nose your Line Manager or the Executive Members

Cons

They call themselves a 'Technology Company' but they do sales &marketing only. They claim they do cloud technologies but I saw licensing related work only, nothing about cloud technologies. The CXO's office is always full of people, so no one is actually doing any work but brown-nosing him. They claim that they'd pave a way for your career path but turned out they ended up your contract by saying 'there was a plan for you but got turned down by the Executive Team'. The HR exaggerated on the job description so what people signed on was considerably different as what they actually did at work. Stop the 'hire and fire' policy and lying to quality candidates. We are from decent backgrounds so please don't lure us by giving us unrealistic promises. Again, one doesn't necessarily have to be equipped with any particular skills to work at rhipe, what they need to know is how to brown nose the bosses. Last but not least, candidates who consider themselves professionals please stay away from this company.

Pros

Flexible schedule, work from home days, made great friends.

Management was a joke. They would promise you the world and give excuses to cover up their own bullcrap when it was time to deliver. Yearly review processes were not consistent and just a bunch of useless paperwork. Lack of respect for subordinates. They were always passing passive aggressive ageist and sexist remarks . Unprofessional company outings. Work place was not ergonomic friendly. HR hire orientation was company oriented and not employee oriented (this goes to tell you a lot about how well they care about their employees). Perks were not consistent, some people would get transportation and phone reimbursed while others would not. Every dime has to be fought for. The team started out with about 15 people and now it is down to 4. Doesn't know how to maintain loyal talent due to high egos and lack of leadership. Communication to HR was often cut off by management to cover their own behinds. Lack of trust between management and employees. Room to grow is limited due to the technology we use and sell. Company values are not followed even though they consistently preach it. All in all, they want believe that they are creating a tech start-up culture but they are just looking for an excuse to drink on the job.

** Disclaimer: This is specific to the New York, NY office ** I cannot speak for the leadership in the Australia office, but I began working for Online Services Corporation in 2014. In mid 2015, they were acquired by Rhipe, so technically I have worked for Rhipe Solutions (New York branch) for about 1 1/2 years. As the company transitioned, unfortunately, questionable leadership did not. -Team communication from management was horrible - there would be days I would walk into a super empty office and my manager was nowhere to be found. It would be a hit or a miss if you ever needed to speak with them in person. -No specific career growth path - everyone was a jack-of-all-trades but a master of none. Your role was based on a project per need basis, whether you had the skills or not. It felt like a circus show just to please the clients. This caused lack of confidence when speaking about topics that were not in scope of my expertise. -There are no HR representatives in the New York office - when I accepted the offer, I really didn't consider this an issue, but as time went on, I began to realize how channeled everything felt. If there were things needed to report or ask HR, it was "recommended" to go through your manager first or it would be disregarded. Another thing is, since HR is not in the states, they lack the knowledge of any employee labor laws and benefits. -Low team morale due to poor management - management speaks to employees like they are disposable. There was great talent when I first started. The team was helpful and everyone got along well but the pattern seems to be that management either said something disrespectful or promised things that were never delivered. As soon as one person left, another left and so forth. This work environment definitely taught me a lot of real world examples of what I do not want to work for when job seeking. If I cannot trust my leader, then there will never be a team, but if brown nosing works for you, then this might be the job.
