Pros

An onsite mess provides competitively priced meals. Training courses are paid for by the company. Approval times may vary...

Cons

Instead of paying a per diem for business travel, you will be required to spend your own money and make a claim through SAP Concur. They will then deny the claim and make it next to impossible for you to claim your travel expenses. All business travel is economy. Some of the hotels are nice though. Internal communications are via Skype for Business, which personally I find to be a woeful user experience. Management will decide that a particular qualification or course is required for an individual to conduct their primary role. They will then pay for the course, which is a process that can take up to and over 6 months to get through the over staffed HR departments. They will then expect you to complete the course in your own time, either by taking leave or attending night classes. Rather than hiring the required staff with requisite skills, training, and experience, management will regularly decide to save money on salaries, and expect unqualified staff to complete the work in a now compressed timeline.

Pros

I have been working at this defense company for over three years now, and it has been a truly rewarding experience. The company fosters a collaborative and innovative environment where employees are encouraged to grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to national security projects. Leadership is supportive and transparent, providing clear direction and opportunities for career advancement. The company offers competitive benefits and a strong commitment to employee well-being. In my role, I have had the chance to work on exciting projects that have a real impact on the defense sector. The team is highly skilled and motivated, and there is a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual respect. Overall, this company is a great place to build a career, especially for those passionate about contributing to important defense initiatives and working in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.

Cons

Work life balance is a challenge during the initial growth phase but has begun to get better as the company has continued to hire additional employees.

Pros

I did enjoy working there, most everyone was enjoyable.

Cons

However, there were also a couple of very difficult people, one of which would throw you under the bus at the drop of a hat to gain self promotion, management listens to him.
