Pros
Some great training, the L&D director was great given the tools he had, and some undoubtedly great consultants.
Cons
The only way to really describe RHR is outdated. From the 90’s office decor, to the toe clenching micro management/KPI culture, the place desperately needs an overhaul if its to appeal and retain future talent. The CEO has a traditional, almost retail ‘parental’ style of management, which yes does involve shouting, which has now been adopted by other members of senior management. With teams expected to wear suits, and sit with not so much as an office radio, and absolutely no such thing as flexible working around core hours of 8.30-6pm, it’s not exactly progressive. The sister company Fashion and Retail Personnel seems a little better, but the overall ‘you can’t go home until you’ve done X amount of cv sends’ attitude, plus dodgy IT systems and constantly breaking laptops dosent exactly inspire confidence and can explain the high staff turnover in recent months. Placements are celebrated with an internal email, combined with a pic of your favourite half naked ‘celebrity’ which let’s face it, is kinda gross.
