Pros

RDI knows that their lifeblood is their employees. They hire great people and do their best to keep these people at RDI long term. It is great to know that I work with some of the best minds in my field. RDI gives their employees plenty of opportunities for additional training and certifications and encourages and expects employees to increase their skills. RDI offers competitive benefits, Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, 50% 401k matching up to 3%, bonus opportunities, and 15 days paid leave from the get-go. They nature and type of work at RDI gives ample opportunities to learn new technologies as well work on industry leading projects. If you like big data and enterprise GIS systems, this is the company for you. I have been extremely impressed with RDI and would recommend this company to anyone looking for a great place to work.

Cons

There are companies out there that may offer a more competitive salary package. To some this will be a deterrent from joining RDI, it was for me initially. I must say however, that RDI has been very good to me since I became an employee. There could be better camaraderie between client-site and on-site employees.

Pros

- Great pay and very interesting work - Management structure is not complicated, if you want to talk to someone higher up about something, you pretty much always can - Very supportive and diverse environment. Many of the senior management and executive board are women. Personally I began my gender transition here and the CEO herself and all of upper management really was incredibly supportive, I would not be who I am today without these people - The employees really do come first. I had talks with management about how the company would handle financial issues out of my own curiosity. Not only did they sincerely address my inquiries, but each and every measure and plan centered around keeping things stable for employees

Cons

- It is work based around contracts so the flow of work can be stressful at points but overall there was always someone to talk to when you needed to meaningfully effect change

Pros

- Great Co-Workers - Interesting, frequently changing work - Fully transparent management and strategies - Career growth - Professional growth - Hybrid schedule if not deployed onsite full time - Work life balance is not only respected but it is expected. You will never work over 40 hours a week unless you want to.

Cons

- Lower than average salaries, which could change in the near future per management. - Raises are capped at 5% and will only come during your annual review. If you attain a promotion, your pay will most likely be moved as well. - Some might see this as a con, I see it as a pro but most don't share my thinking so I will put it here; Standard here are extremely high. For what they ask of a senior is something you would find most leaders in the IT field unable to do consistently. You have to be on your A game every day here.
