Well, where do I start. While the company has recently taken measures to improve the training and on boarding process, there seemed to be zero plan whatsoever when I was hired. I was told to "study" the product for a week when I arrived, and then I would be quizzed at the end of the week. This went on for a whole month, because management was always to busy and didn't have time for such trivial things. When we finally went over what I've learned so far, I was told that they only have 5 minutes to go over it and was made to feel stupid for not knowing how to pitch the product. Well what do you expect when you put no emphasis on your new hire that knows nothing. Everything I learned I gained on my own, but felt as if I knew just as much when I started as when I left.
Turnover is extremely high. If you are there for more than a year, than you are ancient. Management seems to have no time for anyone, which in turn leads to a lazy culture as people just do whatever the heck they want. After coming from my previous company, which placed a high emphasis on training and employee development, this was shocking to me the whole time I was there.
Overall, I felt as if this was a period of my career wasted that I unfortunately will not get back.
