Pros

The list of pros would have been extensive if the CEO who opened the company was still there. Unfortunately, that is not the case, and a wealthy man who lives in Chicago purchased the company.

Cons

Ever since the New CEO came into the picture it's been a disaster, many employees are extremely unhappy and feel mistreated, myself included. I know of employees that worked for the previous CEO for 15 years since it first opened, and were given no respect or seniority, they were actually given ultimatums and basically forced to quit. The New CEO stops in every once in a while and pretends to care about what's going on, he forgets your name and shakes hands like a politician. He appointed a new President who tries to act like you are important when you talk to him but doesn't listen to any concerns or suggestions from employees. The New President of the company which was another mistake, is cheap and selfish to put it kindly. They cut down on everything that made the place special, they stripped RepairClinic.com of it's positive and welcoming atmosphere. It used to be amazing, you could look forward to going into work, taking calls and thanking people for their business because our customers were so happy with our service. The New CEO thought it would be a good idea, being the rich and greedy individual that he is, to team up with Whirlpool and add that to the call volume we already were taking on. It wouldn't be so bad if they accommodated employees and prepared them for what would be the worst transition in company history. Instead of being thankful at the increase in workload, they cut down on privileges employees had, we felt like we were being punished for something we didn't do. Many times employees felt micro-managed, certain people with leader roles would constantly bother people who had good reputations. Almost as if upper management put pressure on lower management to make long time employees uncomfortable so they would quit and it would save money on the payroll. They cut down on toilet paper, paper towel, silverware, paper plates and bowls, they don't control the thermostat properly to save money, and told employees who have been there a long time they were going to cap their hourly wage. I spoke to certain managers along with other employees and would ask, "why is this happening?" They had no answer. They were confused as well, the place is going into a downward spiral. They would rather train 12 employees at a time, knowing only one or two would accept the job offer and then probably quit in a few months due to being unhappy. Over 40 employees who were dedicated to improving the company quit in a matter of 6 months. The New CEO and the staff he hired to run this company are more concerned with money than keeping employees satisfied. If all of this wasn't bad enough, they started promoting new employees who were unqualified into managerial positions. One girl was told she was going to be a manager and could not complete simple tasks. She of course was promoted and to this day does not know what she's doing. She became good friends with a manager early on when she first started and that relationship helped her get promoted over people who were actually qualified and that have been there a long time. Another manager only knows how to do returns, she doesn't know how to lookup parts, or even ring up a customer at the counter. The third manager who is not qualified is arrogant, he walks around like he owns the place and talks in a deep voice because it makes him feel powerful. They are feeling it now, many complaints are coming in from customers and the work being done is poor. They lost all of their great employees, they are left with temporary employees now. Don't let the starting pay fool you, find a different job because your happiness is more important. The positive reviews about RepairClinic.com are being done by a manager who works for them, he makes empty promises and acts like he has all the answers.

Pros

One reason I enjoy working here is the people around me. Everyone's professional but also nice and relaxed, which makes cooperation really pleasant. I have good working relationships with all teams. There is lots of positivity in the workplace. All these things make challenging days much easier to handle.

Cons

The work requires patience, deep product knowledge, and attention to detail.

Pros

Even if you are the happiest person on the planet, this workplace will transform you into a sad one. It's very toxic.

Cons

The work culture is awful. Employees don't get any care from the top leadership. These arrogant people maintain poor communication and don't care if employees suffer as a result. The employee turnover is also ridiculously high. Most employees leave when they realize that the toxicity is too deeply rooted to be changed in a few months. It makes the daily life of those employees who stay ridiculously complicated, as all the work of those who leave is passed onto them. Slowly, but steadily, I have seen this workplace becoming less employee-friendly. This pattern has not changed. I don't think it will change in the future. These evil people don't seem to learn from their mistakes.
