Pros
There are worse places to work. Flexible work environment, friendly co-workers.
Cons
Word of advise- If you are looking at this as a place to work- go elsewhere. If you already work here, start looking.
Whjle management puts on a 'We care about you' they really only cares about themself and the all mighty dollar. Nepotism at its best. Owner employees the wife, President and Sr VP are Father/son.
Most corps are similar so you are not much different but there is saying that definately fits Rena Ware when refering to management. "Book Smart, Street Stupid" I am not saying that they are all stupid, but most have essentially been handed and live the better life so it is very hard for them to see other perspectives.
Owner/Exec I feel make knee-jerk decisions without thinking through it. We had an antiquated system to manage sales and commission- it work. in fact it worked very well but didn't have some of the bells and whistles newer systems have but it worked. All of a sudden we are learning a new system having to come up with work arounds for things we just took for granted. The person in charge of that decision- left a couple months later probably due to embarassment- and probably because those above him were update that they got a system that costs 5x as much and half the functionality.
US positions are all being off-shored so beware- Glad I was out before SHTF. US side of business was shut down after Covid because - to be honest- most people are smart enough to NOT purchase overpriced China/Taiwan cookware. The only piece I own was given me and we don't even use it. Even with Employee discount I could not justify the price. Quality? sure but so are a lot of others.
Last I heard from former co-workers, there were less than 20 US positions, down from 5-6 times that a few years ago, and more expected to forced out.
