Pros

High Exposure to Full Project Lifecycle: You gain firsthand experience across all project phases, from preconstruction through closeout on large-scale developments. Fast-Tracked Responsibility: If you're competent and proactive, leadership will give you the space to take on senior-level tasks quickly, even if you're new to the role. Hands-On with Multiple Disciplines: You oversee every discipline throughout the cycle of the project, not just get assigned to particular disciplines at a time. Good exposure

Cons

Lack of Structured Support Systems: Processes often need to be built from scratch, or reinvented, because nothing is standardized. Minimal Training or Onboarding: You’re expected to "figure it out" and plug holes without much guidance. If you’re not self-directed, you’ll flounder. Understaffed for Scale: The lean team may not match the complexity or scale of the project, leading to inorganization, Upper management doesnt want to accept that, so the blame lands on the one's who have no authority to make a change. Visibility Challenges: Internal recognition can be skewed. Work often gets filtered through higher-ups or more vocal teammates. Quiet competency doesn’t always get noticed.

Pros

The location, people, and overall work environment were very positive. The team dynamics were collaborative, and the office atmosphere was pleasant. Work-life balance was well-maintained, and colleagues generally supported each other, creating a productive and friendly environment.

Cons

The HR department at this company has significant areas for improvement. Many employees have expressed a lack of trust in the recruitment process, citing concerns about favoritism and a lack of focus on merit-based decisions. High turnover and difficulty in attracting the right talent are reflective of these issues. There seems to be a lack of structure and organization within HR, with some employees feeling that the department isn't aligned with the company's broader goals or focused on supporting the workforce effectively. Instead, the overall morale and communication within HR appear unprofessional, which undermines the department’s ability to be taken seriously within the organization. Additionally, the HR department’s leadership style, in general, has been seen as condescending and dismissive of employees' concerns, fostering a negative and unhealthy work environment. Many employees have voiced concerns about the lack of empathy and emotional intelligence when dealing with workplace issues, which is detrimental to a company's success and culture. Overall, the HR department could greatly benefit from leadership that fosters a more inclusive and supportive environment, and focuses on professionalism and merit-based practices.
