Pros

Pay is considered one of, if not the best within the industry. It is a very business/result-driven company that will reward you greatly if you put in the work. Great support system as well from everyone that I work with from the cleaning staff to the VP of the company. The opportunity to grow within the company is limitless and I am the perfect example for this. I started off as a part-time concierge with Related while finishing school and was then immediately hired as a full-time concierge upon graduating. Then after 10 months, I was hired as a leasing consultant for two buildings despite having no leasing/sales experiences. The fact that they risk hiring someone like me who did not possess the qualifications for the leasing position (at the time) is what truly separates Related from all the other comparable companies! Many of my colleagues that I work with daily all started from the bottom as a doorman and concierge, and they are now Office Manager and Assistant General Manager. It has been officially 1 year now for me and my managers are so glad that they gave me this chance because of my results. I don't see myself leaving this company anytime soon.

Cons

The amount of work and responsibilities could be overwhelming at times. Most companies will have different people handling specific roles and responsibilities. But at Related, at least where I work, we are all expected to do or at least try to handle/assist with everything. For example, I would often have to handle/assist with management duties such as addressing resident issues, billing, invoices, etc. With all that said, this con could also be a blessing in disguise because it truly prepares you for anything especially if you want to grow and explore other career opportunities within the company.

Pros

Worked in my home town

Cons

I have found manager has been dishonest and is very conniving. In my opinion she mixes the truth with deceit. She uses erasable pens when signatures and dates are needed on legal document. Documents that are signed by tenants in both locations. I have witnessed when a tenant is about to sign they ask Ms. Q if they should leave the date section blank. She would tell tenants (at times) to not date their signature, for whatever reason. Basically, erasable ink can be altered at a later time. Legally, this does not stand in the court of law. An Audit was recently performed, who would’ve thought to check ink integrity on legal documents. I had to log into her account in order to do some work while she monitors.
