Pros

New Offices in NYC are a nice upgrade from former location. Solid collection of historical CRE data that could be the foundation for solid company growth if an executive team were to be brought in that had the ability to lead, innovate and motivate its employees.

Cons

All of the Executive Leadership of the company have no presence in the industry, completely lack leadership skills, offer no strategic vision (they consider minor, long overdue, product upgrades to be revolutionary new products), and worst of all encourage a gossipy, dreary, infighting environment rather than one of team work and high motivation. They prefer to sit in their offices rather than attend industry events, engage their customers and prospects, and believe they are above listening to their employees. Rather than admit to their continual string of errors and lack of innovation, they choose to blame the employees for their ongoing failures.

Pros

Reis has a great work environment and beautiful projects.

Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about the company. They really stand out as a great company in the high-end residential construction industry.

Pros

Overall the benefits are pretty good, and the office has a generally relaxed atmosphere. The firm has recently been acquired by Moody's Analytics, it seems to me (this is my personal opinion based on many discussions with colleagues) that this is the only reason many people are staying on, people are hoping for an improvement but many have one foot out the door.

Cons

The pay is abysmal, and the benefits only help so much. Additionally, while there are some career advancement opportunities they are generally only for employees in the NYC office, the white plains office is generally treated as an afterthought. You can move from a survey role to an analyst role in White Plains, but that's about it. We've had three new HR heads in as many years, this is the same with the office manager.
