Pros

Working at a movie theater wasn't difficult at all. Management was friendly and easy to work with. Beginning job (concessions and/or ticket sales) was a breeze, and the managers were always willing to reward a job well done.

Cons

Since this job was at a movie theater, there was really very little room to advance, get promoted, etc. The job was extremely repetative and often dull.

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
