I would not work to work here again, ever. - Usher/Concessionist Regal Employee Review

Pros

Easy, mindless, minimum wage job. Good experience if this is your first job, you learn you don't want to do this for the rest of your life. I learned about all the illegal activity companies have to deal with: stealing, co-worker sexual relationships, drugs at work, keeping the smallest employee out of the "know" of things. While these may sound like negative things, I think this a good reason to work for Regal. You learn you don't want to do this again.

Cons

No variation of work. Clueless assistant managers who didn't complete high school are telling you what to do. Several assistant managers had a affairs with other employees (to a degree where most people know). Constant employee turn around, I believe I worked four times as long as a typical employee. I worked for approximately 1 year. As result of all these negative attributes, the morale of the work place was horrible. Why should I have to work hard if most people weren't working half as hard as me? I noticed the theatre was showing its age because most people did not clean as well as they should.

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
