Pros

At least where I worked I knew a lot of my coworkers from school and we became good friends, after a while when we got newer employees we got pushed into more managerial floor positions but still did the work. Easy work, some days busy of course, but overall easier than other jobs.

Cons

Pay is minimum wage with very little upwards movement. Even the hourly managers (ours were all promoted from floor staff but they were usually there all year or worked way too hard...) made only 10 bucks or so, those who had been there longer made maybe 11 bucks an hour. Initially you get very few hours the first summer Iworked, maybe only 4 hours a week. later i only worked summers and during college breaks and I was getting still only 25 hours a week.

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
