Pros

This is the longest I have ever worked anywhere and it honestly has been probably the most fun job I have had. Most of the people are awesome to work with, free movies pretty much whenever you want, and free popcorn and soda. There are also hidden perks few people realize, you get corporate discounts at select hotels (it's not really a long list, but it's something), discounts on your phone bill with AT&T and Verizon, I think there is even a 401k option but I have never really bothered looking into it and they do offer benefits if you qualify as a part-time employee. There are also a handful of other corporate discounts employees can take advantage of, I just can't think of them off the top of my head.

Cons

Don't have any more expectations that having a minimum wage job, unless you have high aspirations of going into management. You can't really get the benefits they offer because you are unable to work 20 hours per week anyway. Even if you do get the benefits they offer they are sub-par. Currently the theater I work at operates on a "less then skeleton" crewed staff. This is even after we eliminated the projectionist position after converting to all digital projectors. Eliminated the door position so now it is even easier for people to sneak in. This is especially daunting after the Colorado shooting. Also having an understaffed management makes work all the more stressful. No sense of dignity at concessions as you are asked to do ridiculous things that I would consider very socially awkward to up-sell people. Finally, there is a very distinct line between corporate and local management. At the bottom of this review, I am unable to approve or disapprove of the CEO because I never even heard of her up until I looked up REG on glassdoor and that should say something because I've been at this job for a while now. Our GM is constantly out of touch with what is going on with the theater at times because the main concern is pleasing corporate rather then running the theater. This fulfills the circle of the "one size fits all mentality" so our theater is constantly getting new equipment that is not needed and using old equipment that constantly breaks down.

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
