Pros

Company offers great perks like free tickets and discounted concession items. The schedule is also flexible if you’re going to school or work a second job as I am.

Cons

Pay is below average, fast food industry pays more. Scheduling is based on business so some weeks are slower than others, all dependent on which movies are releasing. This may be specific to this theater so I’m not sure, but requesting time off can be a bit of a hassle with management. Also, work is MANDATORY on Christmas (again, not sure if that is theater-specific)

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
