Pros
Decent pay. There is a five word minimum or else I'd leave it at that.
Cons
Where to begin. Zero accountability and poorly managed. The only feedback you'll receive is when you "mess up". No positve reinforcement. This plant still runs mainly on the good ol' boy system. Night shift maintenance is terrible and you can mostly find mechanics watching videos on their phone in the shop or break areas. Constantly short staffed with a high turnover rate. If you do acquire a job here, be prepared to work 60hrs/wk minimum. The training program is a joke and doesn't help bring operators up to speed for correct shift placement. All of the experience is on dayshift so don't expect to learn much on nights. The HR department will be the downfall of this facility. They have too much involvement in things they have no business being involved in. They'll pick and choose which parts of the employee handbook they follow. They'll ignore employees who bring concerns to their attention and tell them they aren't here right now while sitting in their office. They're mostly a department of "do as I say, not as I do". They'll make important decisions about employees base completely on hearsay or using sources with zero credibility. There is a reason they're losing people faster than they can bring them in. Benefits are terrible with yearly price increases that your cost of living raise won't even cover.
