Pros

Started at Redhawk with small skill set in systems administration but ramped up quickly with the scope and breath of work that was available to me.

Cons

Extremely fast paced and often challenged with tasks that I was portrayed as an "Expert" when I sometimes had never seen the application before.

Pros

Recent changes in the company have really focused the service offerings and they've moved away from, "We can do that!". The focus allows the engineering staff to deliver consistent results to the clients which means happier clients and happier employees. There's also been a large investment in the tools the engineers are using including an awesome lab. On a side note, those 2 one star reviews are from a certain someone and their partner. Let's just say, not all engineers are equal and Redhawk is really about top talent who fit our culture. But don't put your job as a software engineer since we don't employ any. ;-) Beer. Living in Bend, OR we have access to some of the best beer in the western US. We definitely take advantage of that!

Cons

The current offices are a bit cramped, but not terrible. We're supposed to get a new location this year.

Pros

They hired me. My dream job...or so I thought!

Cons

Coworkers are two faced. On the surface you are told it will be a positive and constructive environment. You can always ask for help and direction. In reality nobody has the time to help orient you with the list of hundreds of clients you will be supporting. Very stressful!! Every second is managed and if you don’t achieve xx% billable hours you are scourged. The company is young and aggressive à la Boiler Room. If you can’t perform like a machine you won’t be happy there. Management does not provide good leadership. You can expect to hear different direction from each manager. The coworkers reflect this aggressive, rude and highly competitive environment and you’ll need a good flak jacket to keep the knives out of your back. This is a real review, you will notice that the other reviews are always positive. One wonders why everyone just loves it there. Could it be a PR stunt? NO WAY...I was actually told in a company wide email to vote for RHN so they could get their numbers up. Wouldn’t be surprised if everyone was required to get a tat of RHN on their……. Overall a creepy place to work.
