Pros
I’ve only been here for a few months so far but I’m really loving working for RedMane. It’s a small company and I feel my voice is heard. The culture is exactly what I’ve been looking for in terms of a company. Most everyone I’ve worked with has been kind, helpful, and easy to get along with. Another nice aspect of the company is that they really try to include the remote workers and do some fun company-wide events and activities (we’re doing a fitness challenge that culminates in a mini indoor triathlon right now). As a business analyst, I work remote some weeks and on the project site other weeks. In terms of a consulting gig, RedMane really doesn’t expect you to be on-site all the time which is a win-win-win in my book. Even their expense tracking app is far easier to use than any I’ve previously dealt with. I’m also very pleased with my salary, vacation and benefits, and the best part is that people here actually take vacation. It’s expected and no one tries to make your vacation work around the client’s schedule. To the contrary, they changed the client schedule to accommodate my vacation.
Cons
Since it is such a small company, there’s always the risk that they won’t have the investment capital to expand or even keep everyone on if the company were not doing well. That doesn’t seem to be a problem at all for the time being though.
