Finding out I’d been laid off through a mass email felt impersonal and dismissive. No conversation. Just a blanket announcement that stripped away any sense of being valued. I understand that layoffs are sometimes necessary, but the complete lack of basic human decency in how it was delivered? That’s what I’ll remember most.
