Joel (the founder/CEO) has built a completely unique company. - 30-hour workweek (you get paid full-time salary to work 30 hours) which is untracked, it's more of a guideline - Unlimited PTO (don't even have to get it approved). And actually unlimited (Joel often tells people they're not taking enough time off) - Completely flexible schedule (just work whenever you want, you don't even need to keep a regular schedule) - No hierarchy/no egos (Joel has managed to hire the right people and everybody is at the exact same level/has equal voice in how the company is run) - No managers, you pick what you want to work on. - Free organic fruit sent to your house weekly - Yearly meetups in Australia (you can bring your family too) - Every 3 years a meetup somewhere fun (Thailand in 2020!), family welcome and paid for - A super diverse team of amazing people from all over the world
Cons
- Since the entire team is remote around the world, some times it gets a little tough to know who is available. - If you're not based in Australia, you work as a contractor (so no health care, pension, etc.). However, the pay is more than good enough to make up for it.
