Pros

- If your goal is to surround yourself with smart people, Red Door is a great place to start or accelerate your marketing career. While a few years in an agency environment may give you gray hair, the amount of knowledge and experience you'll gain will put you years ahead of your in-house marketing contemporaries. - Very cool office location in the heart of San Diego's East Village. If you live in or are moving to central San Diego, not having a freeway commute is a huge perk. - Red Door lives and breathes the 100% Jerk Free core value, meaning clients, vendors and employees who act like jerks get shown the door-- no matter who you are or how much you're willing to pay.

Cons

- There's an experience gap between most new hires who are extremely green and the Director/VP-level-- Maybe this is just an agency thing, but employees with 5-8 years of professional experience don't seem to stick around. - Most departments struggle to implement processes that take hold and provide long-term efficiencies. However, that's not for a lack of trying; there are always new processes and trainings being rolled out that simply don't take hold. - The purposefully blurred lines between business strategy, account management and business development creates a confusing environment for account people, project managers and clients.

Pros

Great coworkers and office. Learned a lot.

Cons

You work hard but it always feels like it’s never enough. The idea of having to create my own development plan was also a bit baffling.
