Pros

DoorDash lunch credits Flexible WFH structure

Cons

The biggest issue is the culture. Leadership frequently promotes its core values, but those values are not reflected within the exec team. They often felt distant, unapproachable, and resistant to feedback or new ideas. Concerns were sometimes acknowledged at a surface level, but meaningful action or follow-through was rare, leaving me feeling unheard. They seemed more focused on maintaining the status quo than supporting employee needs and well-being. Unfortunately, accountability is non-existent when concerns involve members of senior leadership. Constructive feedback directed upward is not welcomed, which made it difficult to raise legitimate concerns without fear of being labeled as the problem. Innovation is not encouraged. There was little opportunity to propose new ideas, explore new marketing channels, or introduce strategic ideas. Suggestions were routinely dismissed as being "outside scope," or "not part of your job description", creating an environment where nodding your head and agreeing with everything was valued more than critical thinking or creativity. There were zero opportunities for team connection, such as team lunches, outings, or intentional team-building activities, which made it difficult to develop a sense of belonging. The feedback culture is also overwhelming. Constructive criticism is constant, while positive feedback and recognition are rare. When I expressed that more balanced feedback would help build my confidence I was essentially told that if I couldn't handle even more criticism, the company might not be the right fit. Overall, the environment and culture at RDI felt driven by conformity rather than innovation. This may be a fit for someone who prefers following established processes without questioning them, but it was not a place where strategic thinkers or employees looking to drive meaningful change were set up to succeed. Their reliance on AI is startling. They use AI to create and rewrite everything, and it takes the humanity and empathy out of working with other people. Rather than fostering collaboration and trusting employees to bring their own ideas and experience to the table, the environment can feel overly controlled and focused on maintaining a specific viewpoint. Candor, honesty, innovation, proactiveness, and creativity are not welcome here.

Pros

Cool office and people. A good place to learn if you are early career as you get exposed to a lot.

Cons

Very few opportunities for advancement if you are mid or mid senior. Existing Mid and upper management has been locked I for some time. The “Red Ceiling” is very real. Underwhelming benefits/PTO/work life balance.
