Pay, benefits, employees are great

Slightly higher turnover than desirable

Great place to learn - since it's a smaller store and a locally owned company, you have an opportunity for growth often not found in larger companies. They like to promote from within and give employees opportunities to move to different departments. A lot of staff have been there long-term, many well over 10 years. They are a union shop so you get the same salary and benefits you'd get at larger companies without wondering if you are going to be moved to a location that is not convenient for you in the future!

Grocery work can be laborious and tiring. Standing for long periods gets tough and sometimes the weather plays a direct role towards your comfort - it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
