Pros
Recology has a fantastic mission and vision of sustainability and a world without waste. It's commitment to recycling and composting, diverting from landfill, is undeniable. Corporate truly sees the waste zero world it preaches, and does want to do the right thing.
Cons
The culture, today, is still rooted in 20th century values. Managers who have been there for 20 or 30+ years haven't fully adopted the commitment to sustainability or high ethics in their day-to-day decision making. There is a stark culture difference between operations (collecting and processing waste) and sustainability professionals (educating the public about how to recycle & compost), and it adds a layer of distrust to the feeling of working day-to-day.
