Pros

I've been with RPL for 2 years now and I could not ask for a better Employer. This boutique Law Firm will give you the opportunity to work independently with the Partners and to get an insight in some of the other legal fields which is great. Everyone is very helpful and supportive. I always felt motivated to further my knowledge in every field, from administration to legal work. The fact that RPL is not a huge corporate firm makes it more special, as everyone understands, respects and treats you like a person and not an employee. I also need to mention the amazing view of Midtown.

Cons

Being that RPL is a small firm, sometimes many deadlines need to be met at the same time which can get really stressful. Flexibility is key. You need to be willing to work hard and take criticism constructively. This is not necessarily negative as it will teach you to become a precise and good writer, to do deeper researches and to review your work carefully - this is beneficial not only at work.

Pros

I have been working at Reavis Parent for just under a year and cannot say enough positive things about the incredible people who work here. As a smaller firm, the work environment is very personable and supportive. I have been given every opportunity to grow my role in ways that play to my strengths and have been completely supported in other interest areas outside of work. And to top it off, the view is unbelievable! A fantastic place to work, with the smartest of professionals and most caring individuals.

Cons

None! I truly cannot think of one.

Pros

I worked as a paralegal at Reavis Parent Lehrer for three years and had a phenomenal experience. I enjoyed my work so much that I decided to attend law school and have found that my time at RPL helped prepare me for both law school and subsequent summer jobs. RPL is a very special place to work but two things had a particularly strong impact on my time there. First, the senior attorneys at RPL invest a lot of time and energy to develop the skills of young attorneys and staff members. Whenever I was assigned a new task, the supervising partners always made the effort to explain how the assignment fit within the broader services the firm was providing its client. This helped me learn more about the legal strategy in a particular matter while also improving my work product. The attorneys also took the time to teach me how to undertake increasingly complex tasks in a variety of different practice areas. RPL is the kind of place that rewards initiative and provides trustworthy employees with more responsibility. Second, RPL is a very collegial place to work. The senior attorneys take time to get to know the younger attorneys and staff members. It is very easy to get a hold of a partner to ask a question or to solicit feedback on an assignment. Providing high-level professional services can be an intellectually demanding task but the attorneys at RPL are courteous and quite pleasant to work with which makes the work much easier. I could not speak more highly of my time at RPL and would encourage interested candidates to apply.
