Pros

1. Very flexible schedule. People can work from home or work early/late as long as the work gets done. 2. The employees are fun and the office is usually laid back. 3. You get to promote liberty at your job!

Cons

1. Ridiculously low pay, even for a non-profit and there's not much room for growth. 2. The benefits are almost nonexistent. They don't match retirement and your healthcare deductible is so high that you won't hit it until it's the end of the year and starts over. 3. Management is disorganized.

Pros

Everyone on staff is incredibly smart, and for the most part friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is pretty laid back, and the "live and let live" ethos is strong here. Lots of freedom in terms of how your structure your schedule, and lots of people work from home, so long as you can show results.

Cons

Kind of silo'd in departments. The pay and benefits are OK for a nonprofit, but nothing spectacular. Definitely not good if you can't work without being managed/aren't self-directed.
