      Pros

      The onboarding process and training is excellent. Working with volunteers and emerging professionals on tackling the literacy crisis is rewarding. The work is interesting and you’ll meet some amazing people.

      Cons

      It’s hard to reconcile the paltry stipend Americorps members make compared to executive level staff.
