Reading Partners has an incredible mission and is a great work environment. They offer plenty of trainings and opportunities to take on extra responsibilities that can help you grow in your career.
Cons
The AmeriCorps salary is incredibly low and difficult to live off of. However, the organization is very upfront about it and provides you with helpful resources that can aid you during your commitment. Oftentimes, full time staff can be rude and ungrateful in addressing AmeriCorps members. It's demeaning and frustrating. Lighten up and be respectful.
