Pros
1. You can put it in your CV as work experience to find another job. 2. The other employees are nice.
Cons
1. Very low pay for the industry. You will start around 36-45k per year, they usually hire in groups of 4-5 and one of you will start at like 60k for the same work. After 3 years you will end up at ~60k after hard negotiations. If I didn't negotiate I would be at 53k after the 3rd year as a Software Developer!!! You can tell them yearly at every Salary negotiation about fair pay but according to them and their delusional statistics we are getting paid very generously! And we get the opportunity to work at such a great international company! So yeah don't expect much growth here. 2. Management. All talk, do nothing. Passive Aggressive. Will eventually find creative ways to screw you over. 3. The worse tech stack you will ever find. (Order Management and Out Systems Low Code Platform which is basically drag and drop) Your skills will deteriorate and you won't find any opportunities after. 4. No senior developers in Auckland. You won't learn anything. Alot of the time you will be pushed into positions and given responsibilities with no extra pay. 5. Portuguese Work Culture. They expect you to overwork and you will eventually work overtime, outside of work hours to cater to their Portuguese Timezone. Calls at 9-10pm at night :) No extra compensation by the way. 6. The vibes aren't there. Everyone is in the same room everyday and they don't even talk to each other. When the company does host events to get to know each other better, no one shows up because its out of work hours. 7. If you're assigned to a REAL project, don't expect any work/life balance. These are only the main cons. THE ONLY REASON YOU SHOULD JOIN THIS COMPANY IS IF YOU'RE A RECENT GRADUATE AND YOU'RE DESPERATE FOR A JOB! This company is a 2/10 on a rating scale. (Auckland branch)
