Pros

I honestly don’t think any pros out weighed the cons to be quite honest

Cons

I worked here in 2025 as a nutrition advisor. I got treated pretty poorly from the get go and spoken to like no staff member deserves to be spoken to then they wonder why you aren’t working to your best ability. It is an absolute joke I was controlled after a few weeks of being there, judged on what shoes I wore, Not aloud to wear my watch and so many other things. It’s actually disgusting. Funny how I still shop here and they have gone through that many staff since I’ve left i have lost count and a lot of people have complained about the manager yet when someone goes to them they act like they haven’t heard the story before. Seriously get your act together and start treating employers like normal people before your turn over gets more ridiculous. I had a meeting with my manager less then a week and she said I was doing really well and the day I snap back she turns the page. Stop being so up yourself and actually listen to what people have to say and don’t be scared of people who challenge you.

Pros

1) My co-workers made the job worth sticking at for the time I was there. 2) I got to meet a myriad of interesting people and learn about their pets. 3) Lifting boxes daily was good for my posture and core strength. 4) I learned a lot about different dogs and cats that came into the store. 5) Staff discounts.

Cons

1) Wages are terrible for the amount of training that shop staff must regularly undertake. 2) Upper management don’t appear to take on suggestions from any staff no matter how big or small. 3) Some managers appear to shxt talk other staff and customers behind closed doors. 4) You are “well looked after” if upper management decides they like you. 5) They uphold the very minimum when it comes to employment law.
