Pros

Good training for first time new home sales professionals. Learn then leave.

Cons

Misleading information regarding company statement of "WHO WE ARE." This company claims to be a faith based company, but they do NOT treat employees or customers in a manner that reflects this statement. Company issued phone means 24/7/365. Here is the deal, this company builds a decent home for first time buyers and allows the buyer to customize their monthly payment by selecting the option THEY want. This is a good thing, but the option pricing is VERY expensive. They also advertise P & I payments to first time buyers, who are very disappointed when they find out that in addition to the P & I, they also have to pay taxes, insurance and additional fees to own a home, It is perceived my many to be a 'Bait and switch" and the statement that "You can own for less than rent" is largely untrue. The leadership team refuses to listen to the "boots on the ground" people in the field about what buyers want as well as what should be included in homes/spec levels, etc. Additionally, long term employees are fired, often with trumped up excuses and severance packages are a joke. Long term employees are not valued, their opinions and experience are thrown aside. Loyalty & dedication are not appreciated or reciprocated. Sales staff is treated with extreme disrespect, in fact...one senior member of management was overheard saying that "Trained monkeys can sell Rausch Coleman Homes." SIr, a monkey may be able to sell them, but a money cannot keep buyers on contract and get them to closing with all of the hoops RCH makes the buyers jump thru, changes to plans with no notice to buyers or sales, last minute demands for meetings and walks, closings, etc. Also, this company pays all commissions on the 15th of the month. The first of the month paycheck is normally between $350. and $450. for sales pros. AND...if your buyer misses an end of the month closing and go into the next month, even by 1 day...commission is paid 45 days later. Very slow to buy/develop land. Hires new people over offering opportunity to long term employees. No promotion from within. Hire all managers from outside sources. Decent insurance but deductible is $5K.
