Pros
Team: The team at Golden Spiral is really where it shines. Hiring is very in depth, and culture is taken very seriously, so everyone at the company is incredibly talented and great to work with. People have a true service-oriented mindset, and are always eager to help and encourage others. It’s a great place to learn and work. The most amazing thing is that when things get really tough and busy with client work, the team truly comes together to help each other instead of causing friction between everyone. This is unlike any other agency I’ve worked at, where deadlines usually mean drama. Processes: This might seem like a small detail, but it ends up being huge. Golden Spiral has incredibly detailed and documented processes for everything, so communication channels are clear, roles are clear, tasks are incredibly organized, workload is managed so you’re never overloaded, and so much more. Transparency: Leadership is very transparent at Golden Spiral (even with financials), so all employees have insight into the “why” behind the work and feel like they have a say in the company’s growth plan. Great work: The clients Golden Spiral serves are generally awesome, great to work with, and pretty high profile (especially if you’re interested in tech). If you want to work at an agency in Nashville and don’t want most of your clients to be in either music or construction, there’s no other option. Location: It’s minor, but the office is great and the area is phenomenal. The office is located in the 12th south area of Nashville, so tons of restaurants and coffee shops are a short walk away. Stability: The company is in a very stable and growing position. Leadership is transparent and smart about growth and cares about being prepared even in the event of economic instability.
Cons
Compensation: Salaries are generally below or barely matching of the competition. The company has competently carved out a place for itself in a premium market, but employees aren’t necessarily paid like they have premium expertise. Vacation: While vacation is acceptable, it’s less than most firms are offering in today’s agency environment.
