Pros

I’ve recently completed my first six months as a Wealth Apprentice at Rathbones and it has been a very positive experience. Choosing an apprenticeship over university was a big step, but one I’m glad I took. The team has been incredibly supportive and welcoming, especially as someone straight from school. I’ve developed strong communication skills through client interaction, gained insight into investment strategy, portfolio construction, and asset allocation, and learned the internal processes that support client relationships. I’ve also had opportunities to attend external events, present to senior colleagues and large audiences, and take on responsibility early, which has really helped build my confidence. Rathbones genuinely encourages apprentices to challenge themselves and develop professionally.

Cons

I have no specific complaints and have had a very positive experience so far.

Pros

Benefits - pension, shares, top notch for training opportunities and getting on in the company - they do listen to and included all levels of staff

Cons

Problems with technology, computer has problems in that it’s slow and antiquated systems struggle to keep up. Centrally controlled computer and sometimes difficult to get answers for IT
